Ronald L. VanNorstrand, Esq. is a native of Cayuga County, NY and a graduate of Cato Meridian High School. He received a Bachelors degree in Sociology from SUNY Buffalo and worked for several years in various residential treatment centers for emotionally disturbed adolescents. Mr. VanNorstrand graduated from Franklin Pierce Law Center in 1981, and for twelve years he served as a staff attorney with Legal Services of Central New York. In 1997, he left Legal Services and established his private practice. He continues to focus on representing parents with children with special needs. In addition, Mr. VanNorstrand formed CNY Fair Housing and provides legal representation for the Council and individual victims of housing discrimination. He also serves on the board of directors for the Central New York Council of Occupational Safety and Health and has been an adjunct instructor at Cornell University's New York State School of Industrial Labor Relations.
